I am TheHaitianQueen (a/k/a Brick a/k/a HQ a/k/a Rasta Barbie).
Currently, I write as Rasta Barbie for trinijunglejuice.com over here and Caribwall over here. I am published in this journal. In addition to this blog, dedicated to my passion for Caribbean Culture, I have a tumblelog over here and brief forays into vlogging here.
The purpose of this blog is to promote Caribbean culture. My primary interests are carnivals and parties. But I am not a promoter. I prefer to review past bal/fete/party experiences. The Upcoming Events that I do post are mainly cultural: lectures, conferences, film fests and the like.
I have had many incarnations on the net, beginning in October 2001 with my original site houseofbrick.net. I was Dark Soul Vixen on a short-lived literary site. I have also had a presence in the following sites/forums:
